Mr. Rooster’s Transport will always call in advance so you know what day we plan to pick up your vehicle. This should allow you time to properly prepare your vehicle for transport.

1. Please be sure to secure or remove anything on your vehicle that could possibly come off during transport. This includes (but is not limited to) spare tire covers, roof-racks, bed-liners, spoilers, ground effects, etc.  Mr. Rooster’s Transport cannot be held accountable for replacing these items if they are missing upon delivery and you may be held responsible for any damage caused to other vehicles by objects flying off of your vehicle.

2. Be sure to empty your vehicle of all personal belongings. There are many reasons for this. First of all, thieves can be quite vicious should they be tempted by something in your vehicle—thinking nothing of breaking a window or slicing a convertible top to get to your belongings.  Even if you don’t think of the items as valuable, you never know what someone else may want.

Secondly, personal items add extra weight to the vehicle.  By law, trucks

Lastly, it is against the law for auto-carriers to transport anything except your vehicle. The truck is subject to inspection by the Department of Transportation and Police at every state line and can be fined up to $10,000 if found to be carrying household goods. The car is subject to being impounded and all fines and expenses would be passed along to you, the vehicle’s owner.

Please also note, personal items are not covered by our insurance. Should the items become missing or shift inside the car causing damage to the vehicle’s interior, we cannot not be held accountable.

If for any reason you decide to disregard all warnings against packing personal items, please understand you are doing this at your own risk.  Any items you leave in the vehicle MUST weigh less than 100 lbs, and MUST be placed in the cargo area of the vehicle (out of sight and properly secured). Under NO circumstances can the vehicle contain firearms, hazardous materials, illegal substances or contraband. This is simply non-negotiable.

are limited to 80,000 lbs total weight.  When you add the weight of the truck, fuel and ten vehicles, there simply is no space left for extra cargo.

3. Please do not fill up your gas tank before releasing it to the carrier. About ¼ tank of fuel is optimal to avoid adding unnecessary weight and to allow for expansion of fluids as the vehicle travels through changes in altitude.

The driver will give you a call the day of pick-up and will give you as much notice as possible. We will do what we can to get as close as possible to your pick-up address. Please bear in mind, however, that the due to the size of our truck many residential neighborhoods are not accessible.  If we are physically unable to reach your address, we will work with you to find a large parking lot close by (such as a shopping mall or grocery store) to meet.  Plan on spending approximately 15 minutes at pick-up as the driver conducts an inspection of the vehicle and obtains your signature as to the condition of the vehicle. You will receive a copy of the inspection (Bill of Lading) for your records at this time. (Please note, it is helpful if your vehicle is relatively clean to conduct an accurate inspection.)
